Joyasol is a female-founded footwear brand designing beautiful, comfortable shoes for everyday life and travel. Designed in California and handcrafted in Portugal, each style brings together European craftsmanship, thoughtful details and comfort you can actually live in. Inspired by travel and made in small batches, Joyasol believes the shoes you reach for most should feel as good as they look. The brand is a member of 1% for the Planet and gives back through Soles4Souls.
Founding Story
Founder and Creative Director Christina Bullock created Joyasol from a lifelong love of shoes, design and travel, paired with a belief that women shouldn't have to choose between style and comfort. With a background in design and marketing and previous experience working for a footwear brand, Christina set out to create the kinds of shoes she was always searching for herself: beautifully made, incredibly wearable and versatile enough for real life.
Her search for exceptional craftsmanship led her to Portugal, where Joyasol's shoes are handcrafted by skilled makers using generations of shoemaking expertise. Inspired by the places Christina travels, the women she meets and the idea of finding more joy in everyday life, Joyasol brings together European craftsmanship with an effortless California sensibility.
Today, Joyasol is independently owned and female-founded, produced in thoughtful small batches, and committed to giving back through 1% for the Planet and Soles4Souls.

Christina Bullock is the Founder and Creative Director of Joyasol, a women’s footwear brand she launched in 2021 with the belief that beautiful shoes should feel as good as they look. With a background in design, marketing and sustainability, Christina set out to create thoughtfully made shoes that bring together European craftsmanship, everyday comfort and effortless California style.
Inspired by travel, culture and the joy found in everyday moments, Christina designs each Joyasol collection in California and works closely with skilled makers in Portugal to bring the shoes to life. Through Joyasol, she is passionate about supporting responsible production, celebrating craftsmanship and giving back through 1% for the Planet and Soles4Souls.
A California native, Christina lives in California with her husband and three children. Outside of Joyasol, she loves traveling, spending time with her family and discovering the people, places and traditions that continue to inspire her work.
