Güd Life Co. started with a pretty simple frustration: finding a sunscreen that checked all the boxes was harder than it should have been. We wanted something that felt good on your skin, was made with ingredients we could feel good about, looked good enough to actually want to use every day, and didn’t create a bunch of unnecessary waste. When we couldn’t find it, we decided to make it ourselves.
That idea became Güd Life Company—a small, independent sunscreen company built around the belief that you shouldn’t have to compromise between your skin, the places you love, and the way a product is made. Our mineral sunscreens are made in the USA in small batches, with thoughtfully selected ingredients and a focus on keeping our packaging and environmental footprint as responsible as we can.
We’re still a small team, and we like it that way. It lets us stay close to our customers, make decisions we actually believe in, and keep improving as we grow. Güd Life is made for surfers, hikers, runners, beachgoers, and anyone who believes life is better outside—and that the products we bring along should leave the smallest footprint possible.
Founding Story
Güd Life Co. began with our family. Co-founder Caroline, a lifelong surfer, wife, and mother, was diagnosed with pre-melanoma, which made protecting our skin a much more personal priority. As outdoor enthusiast, we were already uncomfortable with the ingredients and plastic packaging found in many conventional sunscreens—and we didn’t want to give up the time we spent outside.
So, as husband and wife, we decided to create the sunscreen we wanted to use ourselves. Güd Life Company was born with a simple goal: make effective sun protection without unnecessary ingredients, toxic chemicals, and plastic-free. Our final, but ultimate, goal was to make sun protection that looks beautiful on your skin without the dreaded, unnatural, white-cast common sunscreens provide. In result, GLC created a natural tint that finishes silky smooth on the skin with a single tint that blends to a wide range of skin tones.
Together we continue to travel and enjoy the wonders of life with the peace-of-mind product we have created.

Caroline Flores is a lifelong surfer who has spent years chasing waves from New York to California. A wife, mother, and lifelong lover of beauty and fashion, Caroline has always believed that what we put on our skin should look good, feel good, and made without harmful ingredients.
After being diagnosed with skin cancer, protecting her skin became more than a daily routine—it became personal. Combined with her own sensitive skin and years spent in the ocean, Caroline began questioning the conventional sunscreens and their impact on our skin and environment.

Jorge Flores is an outdoor enthusiast with a passion for hiking, running, and outdoor sports. A husband, father, and a lover of health and wellness; Jorge has always believed that what we put on our skin should be just as thoughtfully considered as the rest of our lives.
After Caroline was diagnosed with skin cancer, providing protection for his family became the priority, thus Gud Life Company was born.
Today, Jorge focuses on GLC's business relations and communications.
