Leland Francis Introduces Rowdy Boy, a Fougère Composed Entirely From Naturals
The Los Angeles fragrance house releases an extrait built on lavender, clary sage, hay, and oakmoss, made in collaboration with Ralph's Ranch in Oklahoma City. Available September 8.
Leland Francis will release Rowdy Boy Extrait de Parfum on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at lelandfrancis.com. The fragrance is a fougère composed exclusively from natural raw materials, formulated with perfumer Gus Romero of Avoke.
The fougère is one of perfumery's oldest structures and one of its most dependent on synthetics. Rowdy Boy is built without them. Bergamot, bitter orange, and petitgrain open. Clary sage, lavender, rosemary, hay, and oakmoss form the heart. Vetiver, sandalwood, tonka bean, fir balsam, benzoin, and labdanum close it.
The scent was made in collaboration with Ben Birdwell of Ralph's Ranch in Oklahoma City, a working ranch in the region where founder Dillon Peña grew up.
Rowdy Boy is $125 for 30 mL. Leland Francis has made naturally derived fragrance, skincare, and candles by hand in Los Angeles since 2015.
