Hannah Kim

Hannah Kim is the Founder and Formulator of Botanical Republic, a Los Angeles-based plant-based skincare brand created for women 35+ and evolving skin. Before entering the beauty industry, Hannah worked as a green technology consultant specializing in sustainability, a career that involved extensive international travel and demanding hours. After experiencing significant changes in her own skin in her early 40s, she began studying botanical ingredients and cosmetic formulation, eventually transforming her home office into a development lab and working alongside an experienced cosmetic chemist to refine her formulas.

In January 2020, Hannah launched Botanical Republic with a focus on thoughtfully formulated skincare made with high-quality plant-based ingredients and without hormone-disrupting ingredients. Now 50 and a Gen X founder, she brings both personal experience and a formulator's perspective to the changing skincare needs of women in their 30's, 40's, 50's, and beyond. Her approach centers on simplifying skincare while supporting hydration, the skin barrier, antioxidant care, and healthy-looking skin as it evolves with age.
